Ornaments

These are heart ornaments that you can make easily. All you'll need is tinfoil, white glue, coloured tissue paper, sequins, glitter, paint, paintbrush, paper clip, and string.
First you shape tinfoil into a heart shape and cover it with white glue. Next you rip up the tissue paper and stick it on the places where there's glue. When you think you've got it thick enough, then put a coat of glue on it and if you want to you can put glitter & sequins on.
If you want it to be really strong put another layer of glue on top. Then you can stick a paper clip in the top and put a string through so you can hang it on something.
You can also make your own shapes, like a candy cane for Christmas. Have a good time!

Funny Food Faces

Here are two really funny food faces. They're made out of perogies. The first face just looks really funny, but the other face is being eaten by the third face.

By now the faces are eaten. Do you like to make faces out of food?

Cute Little Raindrop

I made a cute little raindrop and it's so cute I can't find a name for it. As soon as I looked in a Martha Stewart Kids magazine I got the idea to make it. I imagined the shape and in the end it actually turned out to be how I wanted it.
Have I tempted you yet to make something?

My favourite soup

Are you ready for some soup? Well, here's my favourite recipe.

Pistou

1 c. diced onion
1 leek, white part only, sliced
2 T butter
1 c. green beans
1 c. diced potatoes
1 c. tomatoes, chopped, drained
6 c. vegetable broth
1/2 c. spaghetti noodles, broken into 1" pieces
1 1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 cloves garlic
2 tsps dried basil
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/4 tsp ground sage
2 egg yolks
1/4 c. olive oil
2 T. tomato paste
2 T. freshly grated parmesan cheese

6 Servings

Saute onions and leek in butter until soft. Transfer to large pot with cover. Add green beans, potatoes, tomatoes, and vegetable broth. Cover & simmer 30 minutes. Add salt, pepper, and noodles. Cook 15 minutes longer. In a bowl, mash garlic with basil, thyme, and sage. Add egg yolks and gradually stir in oil and tomato paste. Add a little soup to this mixture and stir back into soup. (Do not allow soup to boil, or it will curdle.) Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.

Print it out and enjoy eating my favourite soup. And don't forget to leave a comment once you're done eating. And don't forget to answer the poll if you have a pet.

Crafty Saturday

It was a grey day at my house and I was feeling crafty, so I made these two Christmas cards. It's always handy to keep candy wrappers because one day you will actually find a use for them. On the card with the present picture, along the edge, as you might have noticed, I used candy wrapper.
All you have to do to make these cards is to find thick, coloured paper and cut it to whatever size you would like it to be. Cut a smaller square and draw a picture on it. Glue the picture to the thick paper, once you've folded it, and decorate the edges. Last of all, write a message inside the card.
Do you have any crafty ideas for making cards?
